Since I sold my 360 (still don't regret doing so) my only option is to get it for the PC.

But since IW doesn't seem to care about the PC owners by taking away all their advantages, I don't think I will buy it until they allow dedicated servers.

I'm really hoping they reconsider and come out with a true PC version of the game.

same reason I don't have it, IW screwed pc users over.

I have a couple places by my house that ALWAYS have the new games. I will check it out today but if not, I'll take one.  :-D

Edit: I picked this up this morning at Wally World. They had a lot of coppies. I will be on most of the night tonight if anyone wants to play some co-op. I always finish my games before playing vs. multiplayer.

Actually saw some subies there as well.
Anyways, have been playing since, online.  Started some single player.  Its crazy with what they do.  Thats all i will say.

Just so you guys know...Everyone read all the complaints about the PC one but those are rediculious statements. Because the multiplayer developers said that it's exactly like console multiplayer...So what's the problem? If you buy it for console...you lose the option of uping your graphics and having to play it on console. Which blows. They didn't ruin it for PC...I have a PC version and PS3 version.
Both exactly the same right down to the multiplayer. However, the game is through steam, so you can invite your steam friends to play with you. No big deal. Great game.

Beat it today, and beat the Spec Ops missions. Very great game, and has good replay value. If you own a PC...get it for PC.

Yes it is the same which means it is worse the Cod4, cod4 deciated servers which is what we want we don't want this connecting to make games crap we want to be able to join a server and play.

I agree man. But...Since FPS' are jsut better on console...than why the hell would you say F the PC and buy console? It's the same damn thing. I think it won;t be that bad in the long run. It will get rid of stupid ass "Knife only" and "Modded" servers. I understadn wanting to join a server with certain amount of people and based on leatency and what not. But all I've heard anyone bitch about is...Oh it's ruined for PC...I'm gonna gt it for 360 instead. WHAT?!?!? You have to PAY to play it on 360. lol

Like Peter said, making the two versions identical in regaurds to mutliplayer IS the problem.  And letting steam chose the rest of the people you play with is a big deal to many, including me.

Sure, you can invite friends to play with.  But unless you fill up the maximum number of players allowed in a game, people you don't know are going to be playing with you.  And from what I've read, the maximum number of players allowed in a game is 16.  While that may not be unchanged from previous console versions of COD games, it is down from 64 on PC versions of past COD games.

There are a lot more server options that were lost with this released.  And since multiplayer makes or breaks these games for a large number of people, Infinity Ward is losing sales.  I love one on ones with my friends.  Its bragging rights and I love the competition.  Now the only way I can do this is having certain friends travel hours to play.  Sorry but none of us want to drive hours to do so.

Even if Infinity Ward did all the research and found the potential lost of sales wouldn't outweight overall profit, I believe staying loyal to your customers should have weighed more.  And the petition for dedicated servers on COD:MW2 is over 200,000 now.

Saying "FPS's are just better on console" is an opinion that I, as well as many others i'm sure, will disagree with.  Those that do agree probably don't have a computer that can handle the game anyways :-D  For me, controlling my crosshairs is much easier and moving around are a little easier with a keyboard and mouse than a controller.  I don't know anyone that would prefer a controller when browsing the internet.  I agree that "knife only" servers are kind of dumb.  But I have played on "modded" servers in the past (not by choice) and it wasn't bad.
