FIRST . I want to say what a HONOR it is to
know MIGUEL, I think we clicked on the first day we met. GOOD PEOPLE recognize one another.
Second , I want to say how
DEEPLY FUCKING HONORED I AM to call this guy a FRIEND! The way he is representing my mom right now gets me so choked up, it's hard to write this. Prolly why it has taken me Two hours..
I figure you guys would like to know a little about my mom So I will write this..
My mother was one of the most respectful human beings I had ever come in contact with, She gave everything to everyone even when she could not afford it. I remember having Thanksgiving with people I did not even know as a kid .. EVEN FAMILIES she found out that could not have a turkey dinner. She would invite over and share our dinner with them. Through this she gained MANY MANY friends..
I have never seen so many Nurses so emotionally upset over loosing a patient. Each one that night had something great to say about my mom and how she touched their life in a special way.
one nurse Shannon, My mother would send home with food all the time because she was single , worked long hours and lived out of a box.
The other Nurse I think her name was Denise stated to me what a HONOR it was to know your mother and what a great person she was.
I learned a mass amount of respect for people because of my mother and learned through her , that everyone deserves a second chance Everyone is a good human being, and that giving is one of the
true treasures in life. The other treasure is teaching your children the same values and now that she is gone it gives me a chance to actually REALLY do something about it. Because I know now she is watching me. I will have two children soon and I plan [actually can't wait] on sharing her stories with them and teaching them the same values i had learned.
I would believe that is why I am the person you all know. My mom was a Brownie troop leader and meet Chrissy thru that, Chrissy's Daughter Gracey, was one of my sisters closest friends. Age 5-13 Chrissy suffered a serious back injury, I think in a car accident had surgery and was using a cane for years, She couldn't clean house feed her kids do laundry. My mother would go to her house, Do her laundry clean her house make food for their family, and even in the middle of the night would WALK fifteen blocks to make sure Chrissy had taken her medication, and that her friend Chrissy was ok. Chrissy thinks of my mom as a sister she never had. She told me so on the night of her passing.
When my mother was pretty much incapable of taking care of herself, Chrissy took her into her house up in Brunswick. My mother had a head injury when she was down south in SC visiting my sister for the last time and suffered from Seizures due to it, She was on medication that she had to take every six hours. Chrissy took care of my mom the way she took care of her in the past. My mother had some money in her bank account, She gave it ALL to Chrissy so she could make her mortgage payment Pay her bills and get her caught up. Chrissy had about 40k in the bank but someone took all her money out [She had an account at bank of America, and it was on the news a few months ago that the banks system was compromised.]
Writing this helps..
My mother was a die hard Harley biker, She loved the sound of a Harley. Everyone makes mistakes. Even thou my mother was black out alcoholic she kicked the habit about Ten years ago and still attended meetings, was supportive to her fellow friends and STILL MADE sure when I was younger, I had food in my stomach, had a place to sleep that was clean and had a MOM.
I remember when I was younger how good the food was, She loved to cook for people. IT must of been the Diego in her cause she made some KILLER Veal parmigiana. Her lasagna was fought over by friends and family every time she made it. Christmas was always the same routine,
Christmas Biscotti, was our ritual the dough was not ready until the wooden spoon broke. LOL As per the family secret to know when the dough was the ready to be molded.
My mother REALLY had a sense of humor, HMMM I wonder where I got that from. I remember one time going from N.Y to Ohio because my mom used to live out their we were at a waffle house and she said " Boy, Your goofy, you must get it from your father because I'm not goofy and then she made a face like this

Crossing her eyes.." One of her dying words, She called Chrissy a PUSSY LMFAO because Chrissy was crying knowing her dear friend was dying.
I could go on forever about how great my mom was but now it's time to take her memories and pass them on to my generation.
I LOVE YOU MOM, you will be forever deeply missed..
YOUR LOVING SON,
Marty
