I don't think so.  An aftermarket LSD is allowed to be used to replace ONE diff on an AWD car in STU, a lower class, so SP shouldn't care.

I'm not really all that competitive, so it doesn't matter. For me, it's not about how I compare to other drivers, but my improvement throughout the event 8-)

BC racing inverted coilovers

"Inverted"? I went with BC coilovers on the MINI in the off-season last year after much research, very good feature set and bargain me-thinks.

I'll be addressing some maintenance items. I believe the belt tensioner is the cause of a new chirping, wheel bushings and / or bearings are quite suspect, some leaks, and at least one motor mount is way overdue. Finally corner-balancing is a must, and ideally the wheel combo for autox will be 225/50 V710s mounted to a light 15x8 wheel.... Or else I'll just run the streets, who cares.

Deep-6ing the plans for the Lexus.  Al's toying with the idea of selling her 'rolla, and I'm sure she wouldn't be too keen on driving another heavily modded car.

So the BMW is getting some Love instead, namely a cheap wheel/tire pack from discount tire to pass inspection in Feb.  Stock 185mm Wide tires?  hell no, 225's.

Yessir.  The Pax for ST is similar if not exactly the same as DStock, so even if I do nothing to the lexus I can alternate which car I run if one is down for maintenance.  Other than the wheels/tires, I really just need a permanent battery tie-down.  Bungee cords aren't going to do it for Solo.

very nice, yeah I am hopefully getting hankook RS3 or something similar in price plus front and rear sways and strut bars and possibly endlinks. Then mid season when I get cash again I will add new struts and springs.

Last years rules said that spring type and strut/shock type could not be changed. I dont know if they care if you from a progressive to linear rate spring or if the shock body changes, or if the tophats are metal.  Either way, for those who have not had the pleasure of watching Paris drive, it's a hoot.  ST rules don't prohibit 'crazy'.

From what I read/understand is if you have struts you can replace them with different struts and springs but you can't change from struts to coilovers. But I am not positive.

definition of a coil over is that the spring is over the shock... So stock subarus come with Coils Over the shock...

Where as its an upgrade for camaros to go to a Coilover, from having a spring and a shock that were origionally separate..

 OK.. So IDK.. The only problem I can see with coilovers in ST is that the tophats are solid Metal.. No rubber. However, It says you can run camber plates, and when I ran STS years ago, I had camberplates, That had no rubber bushing at all..

FROM 2010 RULEBOOK
Quote
14.5 SHOCK ABSORBERS
A. Shock absorber bump stops may be altered or removed.
B. Any shock absorbers may be used. Shock absorber mounting
brackets which serve no other purpose may be altered, added, or
replaced, provided that the attachment points on the body/
frame/subframe/chassis/suspension member are not altered.
This
installation may incorporate an alternate upper spring perch/seat
and/or mounting block (bearing mount). The system of attachment may
be changed. The number of shock absorbers shall be the same as
Stock. No shock absorber may be capable of adjustment while the car
is in motion, unless fitted as original equipment. MacPherson strut
equipped cars may substitute struts, and/or may use any insert. This
does not allow unauthorized changes in suspension geometry or
changes in attachment points (e.g., affecting the position of the lower
ball joint or spindle). It is intended to allow the strut length changes
needed to accommodate permitted modifications which affect ride
height and suspension travel.

Quote
14.8 SUSPENSION
A. Ride height may only be altered by suspension adjustments, the use
of spacing blocks, leaf spring shackles, torsion bar levers, or change or
modification of springs or coil spring perches. This does not allow the
use of spacers that alter suspension geometry, such as those between
the hub carrier and lower suspension arm. Springs must be of the
same type as the original (coil, leaf, torsion bar, etc.) and except as
noted herein, must use the original spring attachment points. This
permits multiple springs, as long as they use the original mount
locations.
Coil spring perches originally attached to struts or shock
absorber bodies may be changed or altered, and their position may be
adjustable.
Spacers are allowed above or below the spring.
Suspension bump stops may be altered or removed.

Quote
14.8
C. The following allowances apply to strut-type suspensions: Adjustable
camber plates may be installed at the top of the strut and the original
upper mounting holes may be slotted. The drilling of holes in order to
perform the installation is permitted. The center clearance hole may
not be modified. Any type of bearing or bushing may be used in the
adjustable camber plate attachment to the strut.
The installation may
incorporate an alternate upper spring perch/seat and/or mounting block
(bearing mount). Any ride height change resulting from installation of
camber plates is allowed. Caster changes resulting from the use of
camber plates are permitted.

To me by definition.. Metal is covered under any ;)

ST sounds right then.   there was a pretty weak turnout for the class this year, maybe 2010 will bring some more back.  If it's unysoc only, i see no problem there either.
