Pretty impressive shit for a stock motor plus K&N Typhoon intake and Stage 2. Makes one rethink an STi purchase (ok maybe a little)

As a powerplant, the '09 WRX is no joke (same turbo as the STi, isn't it?). The brakes/transmission are still enough justification for me to buy the STi if it ever goes back to a sedan again (otherwise, I'd go with the WRX)

pretty impressive but like matt said...the brakes and tranny are definitely enough for me. add the wide body kit its no contest. i suppose if i only had absolutely no more money to spend then less than $30K then i would have no problem taking the wrx but if money is no issue then 08+ sti over 09+ wrx anyday hands down

Very impressive.  Without a major upgrade on the brakes though, you'll just hit something faster.

Of all the things to skimp on, subaru.

If I can pull some kee-ash together a VF52 would be a nice and reasonable upgrade for an 08 wrx owner. I don't know about the fuel supply differences though. I know the IC is the same.

Previous 2.5L WRXs had comparable injectors as the STi - I'd guess it's still the same. Less work for Subaru that way, I'm guessing.
