Straight through muffler help
« on: January 10, 2010, 11:45:18 PM »
I want my exhaust to be more audible but I am on a tight budget right now.  I was thinking of either picking up a spare axleback and hiding a straight-through with two pipes in the muffler OR removing the resonator.  Anybody know somebody that has an axleback they'd like to donate or could do either of these for a low cost?  Thanks.

Once I get my new catback on the car, I'll have available an STi axleback that features minimal baffling.

I've always found the STI axleback to be a little too raspy for my taste.  It would be easier to gut though so I'll think about it.  Shoot me a price.

Obviously, it won't sound raspy if you're going straight thru. 8-)

Do you want just the AB, or the MadDad tapered 3"-->2.5" intermediate pipe it's connected to, also?

In either case, it won't be available until I get my standalone ECU installed, which, based upon how no one in Oz answers emails on product availability might be a while.

Haha alright.  Just let me know when stuff becomes available and how much you want for it.
