why do you want to? They are marked with paint on purpose. Usually there is no issue. What problems are you having?
You'll totally fuck up your ecu if you do it. Because it changes the value of idle and wot on your TPS.

Sorry to make light of your thread.. but I couldn't resist a joke about TPS reports.

I know less about cars than anyone  :?  .. but I'd imagine these cables should be tight, not loose.  def have someone look at it and good luck

Its a recall - get it fixed FOR FREE at the dealer.
Eric

Quote me now while I'm feeling good about it.  I've decided a WRX will be the vehicle that replaces the Jeep.  I can't see paying Evo prices or justifying purchasing a halfassed/beat to death example for the same asinine amount of money.  For an affordable, point to point, all-weather capable performance car, a wagon fits the bill.  A swapped wagon, even better.

Dominic- you can adjust the slack out of the cruise and the throttle cable with no ill effects on the WRx's.  I took the slack out of mine on the '02 because I couldn't stand hitting my cruise on the highway only to slow down 5 mph and then speed back up to the correct speed right after.

Brian- did you even look at them?  It's about the most simple job EVAR!  You loosen one nut and then turn the other until the slack is out. When they are tight enough you tighten the first nut(the lock nut) back up.
