I can't decide on a suspension  I want to do..

I am kinda debating gettting another set of struts so I can transfer back and forth winter/summer that way they don't get all Shitty.

Thinking Koni  650
Ground Control 400
Springs           200
Camber plates  400

IF I build my own  I use my existing struts.. 1300
with Camber plates  1700

The GC KIT is
Koni Short  Rear  struts / body 2 way adjustable i think
Koni Short  Front struts / Body
camber plates {top mount} SO you regain some lost strut travel  [.75"]
springs.. 400"range

Or Tein with EDFC  I really like this idea. what's Spring rate.. Looks cheaper overall..

People saying KW V3 Viarant's or whatever .. those are 400 spring range.. but 2300!
:smitten: that looks nice.. Just change your ride height  and go wit hit...

The more I look the more I am like ah  fook..

What Changes due to being a wagon..

GD Rear top hats?

Marty

Wonder if you could implement that EDFC onto another brand...

Just pick something and go with it. You can always try a different set-up down the line, sell whatever and recoup some cost. Our cars are always going to be "in development" and not 100% set-up.

I had Koni Yellows for a time, with camber plates, lowering springs, etc. I went from the quality struts to the cheapo coilovers with supposedly bad dampening - BCs, not recommended by the curmudgeon in the previously linked article. It was a net gain because I got higher spring rates and much more travel on a severely travel-compromised car. If you loose travel as you adjust ride height with the ground control setup, that's not a good thing. I can't recall without seeing a picture in front of me if that's the case.

Without trying a bunch of different stuff, you'll never know what'll work out best. And at the hobbyist level that we're talking about, autocrossing and just bombing around with an enjoyable car, it doesn't matter because you, me, no one will have the perfect set-up at the budgets we're working with. EH?  :-)
