I can't argue with Ford's experience. It's just a shame that all of it got no recognition in the home market. I hope that changes a bit with the globalization of all their platforms.
Ford never got the recognition here in the states because of three reasons. Rednecks, Rednecks and Rednecks.
To some of the assholes reliving the glory days, fords are about mustangs, lifted trucks and circle track racing. The corporate culture wasn't about to push something on a large group of people too ignorant to willingly accept any of it, which leads me to Section II of today's rant: I hate the South, I hate the South, I hate the South.
Yes, it's perfectly easy to blame the South and the Midwest for everything ignorant, hillbilly and backward about america. Oh it's true, just watch me do it. I hold that conservative, closed-minded culture responsible for the demise of GM, the shitty domestic cars we blindly accepted and the popularity of trailer park nascar enthusiasm.
I have no idea how any of this has to do with WRC's decision, but i'm sure if I keep ranting, i'll find a way to connect.
