Bought this today..
« on: February 08, 2010, 07:00:33 PM »

2010 Yamaha YFZ450X
Cool thing is I own a condo in the Azores (Islands off the coast of Portugal) and these are LEGAL ROAD VEHICLES now. So I am sending this overseas in a couple of months so it can be my daily driver. Just gotta throw some blinkers and a horn on there   :-D Prob gonna look for a motorcycle security system as well. I wonder how good hella tones would w ork on a small quad battery...?

I will be back and forth all summer. I always tell people they should check it out. Its an un-tapped paradise, however the tourism scene has been getting bigger and bigger. You can rent quads for the road there too but they arent going to by YFZ450's. I have been going there every year my whole life so I know the island well. There are a lot of dirt, back, and mountair roads to hit.

don't bother with a security system, we literally throw quads in the bed of the pickups when we're racing.  Invest in a brake lock tho, that goes through the caliper so it can't me rolled, they run about 50 bucks

and sick quad, i love my 08 yfz. we'll hit up connecuit this month for some motox

Very nice quad  You guys should look into some hair scrambles and poker runs (when i raced those were always a good break from the track) Just throw on the holeshot HDs adj the shocks and make sure you have hand guards :2funny:

i have a lot of places to ride cuz i trail ride. I have been doing it for over ten years so I can get anywhere in my town by trails and once I get to the train tracks I can go forever. Canada if I want. Here is the kicker, I am currently looking for a house and I found a GREAT candidate with 11  cleared/ level acres and 100 acres of forever wild woods behind it. I hope it works out cuz i will def be making a big quad/subaru track in the dirt. a backhoe and a few weekends will make it sweet.

I don't really race or hit 10' jumps or anything but I love to hit the trails

Let me know when it's going down.
