I'm comin either way. I'd be down for eating elsewhere and doing the thing at my house another day.

hey matt, I just bought my house in the Glenville hills and I have lots of space. If you need more road Id be happy to add a Glenville hills leg and we could stop at my house and grill some food. just a thought.

I like this idea too, since it doesn't involve anyone having to lug food around during the cruise, to bbq at a park.  We'd be close enough to civilization to just stop and grab supplies when we're done driving

Matt has planned a great event several years in a row. This is just one of a lot of good options. Not stepping on any toes here. We will grill at my house sometime this summer for sure too.

I think I'm going to be out and about tomorrow trying to figure out the route. Once I get my section of the trip planned, I can work with others on getting a leg in their neck of the woods planned.

Where do we want this cruise to take place? Do you guys like driving around through the Helderbergs?

Matt has planned a great event several years in a row.

Greg (RS25BG) has done the planning with me the last two years

This is just one of a lot of good options. Not stepping on any toes here. We will grill at my house sometime this summer for sure too.

I'm fine with either option. The only reason I would say an establishment is a good idea is to make as little work for us as possible (no prep for 20+ Subarus, no one has to cook, deal with garbage, or cleanup afterwards).

This has gone nowhere in the last two months; I'm booked the next two weekends, so no route planning then.

What does August look like for people in terms of a cruise/dinner?

August is ok with me except the weekend of the 21st/22nd. The later the better to give it the best chance possible for my car to be done. :-P

A scenic fall drive through the Helderbergs/Catskills would be nice

I like Sundays in July.  I know some great routes in the from Albany into the Helderbergs from my bike trips.  If anyone wants to PM me about them feel free.
