Car Color?
« on: February 23, 2010, 12:17:22 PM »
I'm trying to decided on what color to paint my car.  I don't really like the silver especially since I have a green hood.  If you could vote on it I have the colors narrowed down to three choices.

EDIT: 2/23/10
Just updated the poll and reset to the colors that are closer to what I had in mind

2005 Subaru Impreza 2.5rs wagon

1995 Subaru Brighton Rs (sold)
2002 Hyundai Accent (sold)
1999 Chevy Cavalier (sold to my brother)
1997 Subaru Legacy (Parted out and crushed)
1999 Honda Civic (Wrecked)
Quote me now while I'm feeling good about it.  I've decided a WRX will be the vehicle that replaces the Jeep.  I can't see paying Evo prices or justifying purchasing a halfassed/beat to death example for the same asinine amount of money.  For an affordable, point to point, all-weather capable performance car, a wagon fits the bill.  A swapped wagon, even better.

Get the paperwork from DMV, you need to re-reg your car when you change colors.  I vote none of the above, get it sprayed Sedona Red (AKA Garnet Red Mica)!

Sedona red and garnett red are a bit different.... But Im with dave on that.. There are a lot of cars running around these days that are similiar to "rally blue".  There are also a lot of arrest me red.  I think a deep  red/maroon would be good.

I was always a fan of the regal blue?  I think on the RSs  Its dark blue, and almost looks a tad purple in certain light.

I mean i wasnt going to choose like the exact rally blue, I was leaning more towards a darker shade of the blue

and I probably wasnt going to choose Arrest me red only because I get enough attention from the police as it is but the color of "Red" was another option because i have the trunk off her for my car

haha funny to see how votes changed when you changed the blue option

btw, the old '99-ish 2.5RS was a real nice dark-ish blue in my opinion

FYI i believe this is a matt black vinyl wrap since i saw this in a gb thread for vinyl wrap when they did someone elses car.

I have been thinking of doing the same to my spec b since to be honest, the 2008's paint is atrocious it chips off down to the bare metal almost like its floating on the metal!  Every rock/salt chip i hear i inspect when i get out and its 9/10 always down to the bare metal.  So its either vinyl wrap or repaint of the sides :(

the 08+ sti would look SICK flat black :D

just out of curiosity...what was that quote?

Satin I think looks better but I dont have enough money to paint the car with an expensive color such as Satin  :buck2:
