Rota has some of thier 17x9's and 18x9's availible in black.  Also, I was looking at the 5Zigen FN01R-C's on www.machiii.net.  Availible in satin black.

While I dislike the term "blacked out" and your use of it refering to a tint, I will second RPF1's and Rota Torques.  RPF1's looks amazing but I personally plan to get the torques for my wagon when I have the money.

if you like 5 spoke rims...i really like the rota slipstreams in flat black. only $750 for 17x8.5 from wheeldude.com and that size will most like not require any fender rolling/modifications to work on your setup. that will leave you $1250 for tires which you can get through wheeldude.com as well and they will come mounted and balanced ready to go on the car when they ship. you could easily stay under your $2000 budget depending on the tires you get or on the other hand, you could blow through it as well. but you have a lot of tire options.

The Rota P45R's are nice, the ones with the concave face.  Most are only in 'aggressive' subaru fitment which involves quite a bit of suspension and fender work.  Black RPF1's are nice too, just too expensive for my taste.

Dunno if i'd black out tails though.  Mainly because i've considered running the 'disposable' car into the rear of others that have done the same, knowing they would get the ticket.

if you really wanna save your money and see how it looks first...powdercoat those wheels!

murdered out is cool and everything, but black rims kill it for me, unless they have a chrome lip or something but who knows could look great on that car...

My opinion  Do NOT paint those wheels.  I think the silver BBS rims look absolutely flawless/or PRISTINE  on a black STI.  :smitten:

You need some type of Contrast, for the car really to scream  BAM.   Ya know?  :uglystupid2:

Get a sweet set of summer tires and spend the other k on savings or suspension mods?  :uglystupid2:
Sticky tires
The Eagle F1's are way better than the Kumho's, but also more expensive, but they're nowhere near the dry performance (or wet, for that matter) of tires like the the BS RE01R, the Dunlop Dirreza Z1 [Star Specs], or the Azenis RT615,  The Azenis can get shitty in water.

Their are a a few of us that run those tires here... Byron , Dan, myself..  They are a good Autocross tire. .I  saw a good second and a half overal improvement in my times with the 615's

THe Hankook Z212 fall between the Eagles and the others.  FWIW, I tried to use the Eagle F1's in standing water and heavy slippery conditions and  super stickies in non-hydroplaning conditions So at slower speed wet play, the stickier Street Tire legal tires (the RE0R, Z1's and RT615's) are likely to be better wet, as well as dry performers.    The trade off is wear vs price..

700 bought retail on internetz . Or clearance on others..   Those are summer tires I would play with.. ATM..

I would speculate you would want a 225/45/17?

I think black alone  on a black car would be too much. Leggy on this board does powdercoating and is very reasonable. I trying to pick a color for my wrb stis bbs. I'm. Thinking a dark metallic gold, possibly with glow in the dark at night additive;-)

After seeing the pic of your car, here's my thoughts......

If you're leaving the head lights and tail lights alone, leave the rims silver, they accent each other nicely.

If you're really decided on going with the black rims, then if it were me I'd tint over the white reverse light section on the rears.  Then take apart those headlights, paint over all that chrome and get rid of that orange reflector bit.
I personally hate chrome lips on black rims, but it would need some sort of accent, maybe something like the red lip rota's....maybe get your rims powdercoated, then paint the lip yourself like the one in that link, the thin color strip, but do it in cherry blossom to match the Sti sticker on your door and on the center caps?

Azenis 615's are amazing but be careful in the rain the falkens have a rebate right now on discount tire

Calmer tire: nitto invo, continetal dw300 the tire from car and driver tire test
