JNA 04 lip impressions: the good and the bad
« on: February 28, 2010, 03:48:00 PM »

The good.

1. Cheap
2. Superfast shipping, it will arrive the day after they ship it if you live in the albany area
3. Packaged properly in big box

The not so good

For my example there was a gap near the middle which if you are picky you will want to fill (maybe with garage door weather stripping?).  No amount of screwing it up with the screws will close the gap as you can see it is tight at the edges

The end bolt holes at the wheel wells of mine did not line up despite the ones in the center lining up (hence I know it is aligned).  Trust me on this one, I spent a good hour trying to warp the space time continum so it would fit.  This is not really a biggy, but it will take time to remove and drill some new holes

I plan to replace the center plastic push pin plugs with some nuts and bolts.

Overall it looks like a sturdy piece and with a bit of modding and painting it will look like a 200 dolla lip. I plan on giving it a rub with very fine sandpaper and a couple of coats or flat black from a can

In my case the fitment wasnt perfect but it was pretty cheap.

Verdict, if your tight and dont mind a bit of effort, go for it, yours may be perfect without modding.

Hopefully by sat or sunday the project will be completed and I'll post high res pics

http://www.jnaperformance.com/index.php?target=products&product_id=104

get them for a range of years and they seem pretty cheap. Might be worth trying one seeing as I drive my car during winter. If it gets messed up Im only 100 notes out of pocket :-)

I've got a JNA front lip on my 07. Fitment is perfect. You can't beat the price for a quality part.

These are shipped in a Lip specific box, not bent in half.

Let me know if anyone has any other questions,

Site looks GREAT!

As for group buys, I do not think I can sell on here unless I am a registered vendor.
I will look into this info.

to the best of my knowledge just post up any possible group buys people would be interested in or any special promotions you have going on, you can start with one main post with all your info and then keep updating it with new products...someone else chime in

Thanks for the info, I saw this section and noticed there is not a "sticky" for vendors.
As long as I am not stepping on anyones toes by not being a "registered vendor" then I will make a few threads....or maybe just one L O N G thread full of goodies.

Thanks again for the help,

Alan

this site is so much different from other sites.....which is good and bad.  It's a small community based around local area subie owners, which makes for a great atmosphere. very laid back, a lot of people know each other, we're not dick's with nazi-strict rules....
but on the downside, we're a small community. you won't get a 25 million person group buy going like on the mega-sites  :|

just something to keep in mind when planning how to think out your selling points

anyone serious about buying any parts from these guys, go to the thread in the vendor for sale section.  we're trying to work out the details for picking up a bulk order, but it has to be done this weekend if we can get it all straight....otherwise we'll miss the sale price on the lips  :|

keeping everything in the other thread wll help with the planning
