turbo ?
« on: March 03, 2010, 11:45:37 PM »
so i have a 2007 sti  and  idk if this is normal or not. i start out in first and when i get to 4000 rpms my boost gauge doesnt  really move much and it seems like i have no boost ? Its like all i hear is just exhaust and feel no pull or power from the turbo. This happens hear and there not everytime.  All the other gears work fine with boost. and it spools up fine just 1st gear and dont mean to sound like a new kid on the block but is that normal ?

with stock boost control the ecu will not give full boost in first and even less boost if you are not wide open throttle.

oh yeah, '07 sti's need a tune asap.  the stock tune has serious issues.  You could even contact Dominic at Maxwell Power and he could sell you an opensource tune that I could flash on for you (for a slight monetary compensation).

Welcome!

Definitely get a tune, ASAP.  The stock tune on the '07 STi is VERY rough on the engine.
