So. It's been years since i first joined Unysoc. In fact, if I remember correctly it was in the very beginning when it was first being founded. In all that time I don't think I've ever introduced myself or mentioned anything about myself. I've even been to several Unysoc meetups and dinners. Lots of people have joined since then, so perhaps now's as good a time as any.
My name's Eric. I used to drive a 91 MR2 Turbo for years, but eventually lost the battle to excessive maintenence and snap oversteer. She now currently rests in a friend's garage, awaiting her judgement day. My new daily ride is a Jeep Wrangler, a red one, with big black wheels/tires and a black hardtop. If you're in the Rensselaer area during the day, you may see it driving around.
I have spent many years working on more subarus than any other vehicle. Some of the original members of the forum may remember those days. In fact, i'm more familiar with the EJ205/255/257 platforms than even my own damn car. Maybe that's why she broke on me. I still miss her.

I'm highly sarcastic and a bit jaded. I enjoy playing the Devil's Advocate. I like to poke fun at things and other people, not out of malice, just out of the bitter result of being everyone's mechanic and rarely having a well-running car of my own. I spent a lot of time running shifts and working on projects in the RPI student autoshop years back. I have autocrossed regularly up until the MR2 broke and have been in a sort of "extended hiatus" away from motorsport. I look forward to rejoining the enthusiast community in the future with a refreshed vehicle of my own. Subaru is not my God, but this is a fun place to be nonetheless. Always has been.
I also love Evos, more out of a desire to be different and create a little friendly rivalry. I also used to love Cobra, the Decepticons and Oscar the Grouch, so perhaps that explains the pattern a bit.
Just wanted to say Hello to everyone out there in Unysoc land. No, really. I'm being kind.
As for my sig, since several people have asked, it's actually from the Toyota FSM for the MR2, explaining vapor and contamination in the A/C system. The cartoons were supposed to illustrate a professional point, but we in the Mr2 community have a darker sense of humor than that. A friend of mine calls it "Chasing the Dragon"
