Look what I pulled out of my fender today...
« on: April 04, 2010, 09:03:51 PM »
So I found this lil guy in my right fender curled around the snorkel.  I started doing some snooping when a foul smell started emanating from my engine bay.  I thought a mouse had crawled into the snorkel and died.  Imagine how surprised I was when I saw a bunch of fur and a leg when I opened up my fender.

Any one have any guesses to what it was?  My gf took some videos of the removal that I'll post up later when I get them from her.

I'm hoping it's a fox but it looks like a cat...  How the hell did that happen?

F-ing sweet     That beats the hawk that careened off my hood, into my, glass, and up 30 feet into the air only to land a foot in front of some poor bastard in a kia trailing behind me.  FEATHERS!

I'm gonna say a rabit or something like that, legs look to short for a fox. Maybe a cat.  :2funny:

haha, that is disgusting.  I've heard about crap like this happening way too many times.  I hope I never get the foul odor problem.

Is that the front or back end of it? I am going with cat. At least it was in the fender and not around the fan. My mom found that out the hard way when I was little.

Well guys, you all seem to have sick minds.  It was a rabbit.

I have no idea how it managed to crawl up in there, that compartment is pretty well sealed from the outside.

But, I am glad that it is out. I had to leave once mid-process to run outside because I started dry heaving really badly.  The smell is something I hope none of you ever experience.

Videos will be up shortly.

There are 2 videos:

The first one I caught a huge whiff and ran out of the garage because I thought I was going to throw up.  You can see me run out in the reflection of my mom's van.

The second one is the action shot.  Look for them tonight or tomorrow.
