Fine tuning the front:
(bumper only, ignore the hood)

original - looks too blocky around the fogs i think

whole bottom edge of bumper blacked out

just center blacked out, but angled on the edges.  I think I like this, if I can get the curved angle part right on a 3 dimensional object

This just got posted on NASIOC in the Bugeye thread.  I personally like it and would like it even better if the black was just as glossy on the roof and trunk as it is on the hood.

what about the middle section of the bumper, a black sti scoop, the roof and tailgate? or maybe even leave out the tailgate and then get a rear lip to tie the bottom end together? there is always the CF route. :D you can get a roof skin, tailgate, hood and then just paint the middle section of the bumper. ;-)

Yuck.  It looks like something that came out of a hotwheels package.

i think it would look a million times better if flat/satin black on the hood as well to match the trunk and hood. looks great

on the red one, the flat looks better than the gloss.  but I hate the different color scoop

No offense Ryan, but carbon is out of the question for me, too showey  :crazy2:

definately need to find some sort of rear lip to tie it in though.  and wrap my sideskirts to be a matching black

btw, got a link to the thread on nasioc, or remember the user name?  I'm curious to find out what they used

Haha for that i have a solution.  Plasti-dip comes out a satin black and it's probably a lot cheaper than vinyl wrap.

I'm probably going with matte black, gloss black, and carbon (only for front canards and rear license surround) on my car because any type of lip for me would get destroyed the first winter and my stock license plate surround (ie trunk metal) is scratched beyond belief.  The hard part about

I do love plasti-dip for alot of things....but I'll have more than enough vinyl to do the sideskirts in the same material for a perfect match

if I buy by the foot, it would be like $20 a foot plus shipping....but I found a place where I can get a 10 yard roll of 48" wide for like $120 shipped, so why not use it up?  :-D
(might even get the top half of my interior blacked out out of it  :coolsmiley:)

and come back and finish your post...the hard part of what is what?? lol

sorry i drank 2/3 of a sake bottle before i posted that.

The hard part about vinyl is it fades in sun and salt.  So re-do every few years, at that price though you can't go wrong.

ahhhh, well, at that price it is re-doable.  but I was also looking into a matte/satin finish clear UV resistant overlay to protect it from fading

I'm sorry, but I LOL'd at this, since you drive a bright F'in yellow car.
Eric

Quote me now while I'm feeling good about it.  I've decided a WRX will be the vehicle that replaces the Jeep.  I can't see paying Evo prices or justifying purchasing a halfassed/beat to death example for the same asinine amount of money.  For an affordable, point to point, all-weather capable performance car, a wagon fits the bill.  A swapped wagon, even better.

 :-D:2funny:
I figured that would be coming eventually.  But I bought the yellow for the rarity of it, not the flash.

I don't exactly know how to explain it.....I like rare and different things, but I'm usually the last person you'll see purposely trying to stand out in a crowd.  In person I'm deffinitely more of a blend into the background type of guy.  I'm quiet, shy, uncomfortable around people I don't know....it's kinda sad really    :|
Buying the yellow car was a huge deal for me, totally out of character.....but I'm happy that i went for it

hey now, I was young and stupid....and believe me, it was a little ricey, but certainly didn't stand out compared to the other cars where I was living.  The gunmetal rims were subtle, it was just the silver reflective faded tint that was questionable  :crazy2:

actually, I was thinking about this a while back, I've got zero pictures with that car in it

You've seen it more than anyone else on here Ryan, I've only met a handful of you guys, been to the one cruise but not the dinner, last week I said all of maybe 4 words besides hello when your friend showed up...
anyway, maybe it's an issue I'm trying to work on through my cars rather than on my own.  They're a helluva lot easier to change LOL   :uglystupid2:

now, enough therapy! this section is titled Lookin' Good, not Feelin' Good About Yourself  :2funny: :crazy2:

no pics, it was just a Silver Hyundai Accent, Gunmetal rims and that stupid tint that's mirrored on the top and fades to black

my point exactly!  Ryan seems to think it sounds way out there......Ryan, with the vented carbon hood and carbon trunk and gold brembo calipers

oh, wait, I also had a cob-job of an intake that I put together out of one of those autozone performance type parts LOL Used a dremel to cut a hole in it to wedge the maf sensor back in where it was supposed to go, then painted a metallic blue chrome-ish color
