Local Go-Karting
« on: April 11, 2010, 08:10:27 PM »
http://www.registerstar.com/articles/2010/04/10/chatham_courier/news/doc4bbca0877f231652159032.txt

Hopefully these will be high powered karts like out in F1 Boston. The last time I was out there our fastest kart was doing 47mph on a 1007 foot course. If these are the good karts this will be a great local racing outlet and a great meet sometime.

nice.  hopefully they are just like f1.  There is a fast oval track in johnstown bwt.  I haven't been yet but my fathers been a few times and loves it.

Anytime your out in buffalo hit up AJ's, down right the fastest and best go-karts i have ever been to, all indoor course too so it's great any time of year.

The article didn't say anything about a start date or estimated complete date. I figure it will be end of this season. Just a guess. The last time I drove the F1 cars I had to quit because I was going to hurl in my helmet. I have never been so car sick. But I would be willing to give it another shot.

hopefully they're faster than the ones they have/had at the valley already.  they were pretty fun (especially after a few beers) just cause the turns were banked and they wet the corners so if you were flat out the entire track you'd get to do some counter-steering.

I did f1 boston once and enjoyed it. Cherry valley has a nice course for cars too IIRC, not too much run off areas for cars though
