I know you meant to say diluted 50/50 alcohol/distilled water, right?  :angel:

The gusset?  oxidized?

Meguiar’s #40 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner   :wink:
Griot's Rubber Prep  :mrgreen:

Problem is once it's oxidized it's really hard to keep it looking fresh.. so you have to keep applying product to keep it saturated with oils..

Yes Daryl your right.. I forgot to mention that  ( you retain good info young grasshoppa ) The alchohol actually eats away the top layer of the rubber,  ( the towels will turn black )    it also DRIES OUT THE RUBBER.. so you have to keep it dressed until it becomes saturated again...

i recently had my car detailed by Marty, and i gotta say. HOLY SHIT!!!! seriously i would put pictures up here to blow your mind but they are cellphone pictures and would not do his work justice. actually the pictures just look like a blur because my white car was so reflective in the sun   :-D. While he was detailing my car he actually did my room mates cobalt ss as well. His car came out just as good and had tons and when i say tons i mean TONS of swirl marks. When he was buffing his car you could actually see his car change color from faded red to bright blood red. AMAZING results. i guarantee you will never fine someone with his knowledge, and expertise. Besides that he actually WANTS to clean your car...at no point in our 10 hour day did i feel he was rushing just to get the job done. If you haven't got one of his details DO IT. your car will look better than it ever has, and you will actually gain a lot of know how if you pay attention. If you have had a detail by Marty i'm sure you can back me up.

Thanks Marty
A+++ work!  :mrgreen:

Just went to Marty today for a quick clean-up before the winter weather starts to set in.  We took note of a few spots that will need some focus time this Spring, but for now she's lookin good and ready to handle the winter :)

specB 97k on the ODO. Seen every snowstorm in the area
« Reply #37 on: November 05, 2013, 06:21:23 PM »
Here's my car with 97k on the odo after Marty spent 6 hrs on the paint. The paint is now smooth. my daughter was petting it, that's how smooth it is.

The drivers door had a 6in long area where the car way keyed in a parking lot. If you look at it in the right angle in the right light you can just barely make it out. :-) Thanks

The passenger side. Just look at the reflection. You can see the lawn in the car.

On the trunk, I had some pretty bad scratches. Those are pretty much gone too.

Nah I had to finish with him gone, It was his dad's bday so he went golfing!   His car should be good for about 9 months.~  3 months till the wax wears off and then 6 on the sealant!

Thanks for the business and glad your happy with the outcome!
