It's also one thing to screw over someone from the general public, but quite another to screw over someone part of this forum and committee.  Sure it will put down those numbers at 22psi boost, but multiple people over on shift518 told you it was tuned dangerously, especially for street/daily driving.  So what does it look like when you try to sell the car here but not there?  You tell me.

I really do wish you best of luck with the sale, and still really wonder why you bought the car in the first place only to sell it a short time later (and I'm sure paying sales tax to DMV was fun), but don't be shady on here or act like a dick about it in the process.  There was no "car is fixed, was just a small problem with the hose" post on shift518, so how the fuck do you expect anyone to react when it looks like you are selling a fucked up car for way over book on a small forum of people who generally get along well with each other?  That's why I even brought it up.

Done hijacking, GLWS.

Firstly, I wanna apologize for blowing up the OP's thread.  I should've known better than to take a potshot.

Secondly, I'm going to copy this thread into off-topic and clean this one out when I get home.

I don't think you blew it up, rather you helped to bring the truth to the surface.  I certainly wouldn't apologize.  :coolsmiley:

Secondly, I'm going to copy this thread into off-topic and clean this one out when I get home.

You gave advice to the OP on how to better sell his car, nothing more. You didn't shit on his sale. Multiple people have given him this same advice, but he has chosen to disregard the advice in a rude fashion.

This kid represents himself as a tool in his CL ad, and pretty much this entire thread.

He joined this site in April saying he just purchased the car, and now he's selling it again; that alone is fishy. He is asking above book value for a car that has modifications which will often puts a car on the brink of a blown motor (the tune determines when the motor blows instead of if it blows).

Does anyone have a link to the Shift518 thread that was mentioned?

I disagree Dave....I don't think there's anything in here that should be removed.  The OP chose the air in here when he came back with an attitude to constructive criticism.  Even his original CL ad was, not offensive, but stand off-ish at the very least.   I think potential byers should be aware of past and possible continuing issues.  If the OP can defend the accusations, in a more mature manner, then let him win over a buyer and put everyones mind at ease.  I honestly hope he can, but won't be holding my breath

wow, talking out of your ass sweet!

all you know is word of mouth, the tune is 100% fine, other than the fact JR took it easy on the car due to the PE injectors, which aren't the best... not like the car is running alot of boost, 21.5psi to be exact... that thread on shift blew up with people thinking it was a bigger problem than it seemed when in reality it was an oil line and a minor issue with "resetting" the TGV's or whatever it was..

i was in the car yesterday, car runs/drives fine, only a slight hiccup crusing due to the PE injectors..

Dom, the ad could've been a little more well, structured LOL.

if "driving" entails maxing out the boost on a huge turbo, blowing the seals, overheating the engine....no, I'm very happy to say I've never "driven" my 'dumpy wrx'
