My car did the same thing except I would go from 17-20 back a forth. An electronic boost control solenoid (EBCS) and doms tune solved that problem

Yea but not all of us have a tactrix n have a comp that can run the programs...trust me my laptop is shit. Once I get a new comp ill be buying a tactrix.

hmmm. ill have to check my vacuum lines. and maybe replace some gaskets. if i fix this boost problem and i think the car is running good i may get a tune and a dyno. ill have to also see if i can get vacation days because this is during the week.

Don't forget the fun factor. Doing little mods here and there is pretty cool cuz you can experience the difference each makes in your car and enjoy them for periods of time. For instance, when I went Stage I map from Perrin I was like, dayum! Stage II with dp and was like this is kick ass!!. You will basically be going from stock to fully modded and miss some of those steps along the way. Granted its more expensive doing what I did but some wise dude who's been around Subies a long time told me to enjoy the journey and not rush to the finish line. My .02.

hmm maybe i wont make it to WBM... too much going on this summer, going to florida monday, atlanta in august, denver in sept, dyno tune, WBM, camp bisco (prob wont make it to that either) and looking at a house (renting, for now at least, may buy later).

You'll need to get in touch with Moon Performance for a definitive answer. In October, they charged Ryan, Miguel, and I each $100 for use of the dyno. That made a total of $300 ($200 to Dom, $100 to Moon).

If you want a custom tune done with the AP, yes. He can also tune via OpenECU, which you'd just need to unmarry the AP before he tuned your car - spoolordie did this last year IIRC.

Grimmspeed offers an EWG block-off plate which would let you install the uppipe and put the Tial on day of the tune.
