It was very nice to meet everyone!  Thank you to Byron and Dom for hosting.  It was a fun experience.
Hey, i was the kid with the Impreza wagon that showed up with Andy. I want to say Thanks so much to Byron for opening his home for me and my friend Chris, who just showed up, haha. I had lots of fun and actually learned a bit. Hope to see more of you guys around. (:

It's our pleasure having everyone over.  Watch here for Domtune 2011 next year...

That other tuner is so bad that he's taking it apon himself to make things right with my BLOWN motor, when the SHOP won't.

Yeah, that's totally awesome of him to pull through for you like that. I don't doubt all the good press that he has received.
I'm not the kind to bag on other tuners (unless we've had direct face to face contact/conflict) and I always ask my customers not to do it or try to start "tuner warz".  I tell everyone that there are many ways to tune a car and many tuners have different approaches.

Sorry about the misfortune, Josh.

this is only my 2nd built motor.  The only problem with the 1st built motor was that we used 100mm pistons and bored the stock block to use them.  Big hp and lots of boost on a thinner cylinder wall doesn't work well.  It's the same thing that happened to Rick's 1st built motor as well.  I believe Dom pretty much only uses new blocks and stock diameter pistons now.  That should help with longevity.

I am sorry for the confusion Byron..  :|  I understand now... Wonder what Josh's issue is..

I would like to build a motor but hearing shit like this scares the shit out of me.. LOL

Yeah, he is hooking me up thank god, because I haven't heard a thing back from Jimmy. Pretty sure we have the problem figured out, and marty don't be scared of built motors each one usually has its story. Mine, had problems since day 1 and I knew about them and I tried fixing them on my own because I didn't get shit for help from the builder. The root of mine was during assembly and I'm pretty sure I know what it was, but I'll release full details after its all said and done.
Just to clear up a few things with you quick Dom, that was a quick tune just to break in my new motor, and I never got a chance to make it back for a solid tune as you know why. One more thing that Junior wanted me to bring up to you, I remember you saying something about target boost levels he wanted me to mention to you that I have a MBC. Thanks again for the help Dom. Maybe next year I'll be there to hang out in a good mood when something on my car doesn't break and I'll be more social 8-) Didn't feel like talking much after the motor this year and clutch last year :tickedoff:

I would like to thank Dom and Byron for putting this on! I also want to thank Peter for helping me with my TBE!
The experience of the dyno and tuning was totally worth the time and frustration spent on working on the suby. I'm really pleased with the performance that my WRX puts out now.
Again thanks to Byron and his wife, for their hospitality!

I have pics and video that i'll post when I have a minute to breathe!

Someone was asking before, what people put out whp.

Obviously mine was no match for the other cars. But my '05 WRX (Invidia catless downpipe, Grimmspeed catless uppipe and JNA Performance catback) = 217whp.

thats pretty good IMO considering my LGT (with the same mods) only got 216whp and it comes stock with 250hp crank versus the 05 wrx's 230(?)

I was a little disappointed only making 38?tq.  Dom was adding fuel to fatten up the torque when we ran out of fuel pump.  He tried turning up the meth spray up top but that didn't work.  I'll make sure I have a dual pump setup b4 he comes back to NY.

Hey everyone, don't forget that the shop was over 90degrees.  Cars don't make much for power in 90 degree weather.  Considering that, everyone did very well.

Quick question for either Dom or Byron,

Was my ECU reset after the tuning?  I know it was starting to get late and you guys left the car running, but I wasn't sure.  Not a big thing just wondering.

If you didn't i did yesterday.

thanks,

Geoff

Not sure either...you can reset it anytime.  If you don't want to reset everything then pull any sensor plug while it's running to cause a CEL and reset with a code reader.

Ok.  I've done it.  I was just wondering if it had been done since it was tuned.

That is all, thanks!
