motherfecking puncture
« on: October 14, 2011, 02:26:09 PM »
This happened right near my house. Was flat within ~2 mins.  Got it fixed but may have to invest in new tires next year. At first I thought it was a nail bent over, but then we struggled to take it out.  Imagine my surprise when we took the tire off the rim and discovered the rest of that stuck on the inside of the tire.

Nice! We pulled a 7" long carriage bolt from the tread of my wifes tire. That tire held up for another 25,000 miles until it was bald.

Quote me now while I'm feeling good about it.  I've decided a WRX will be the vehicle that replaces the Jeep.  I can't see paying Evo prices or justifying purchasing a halfassed/beat to death example for the same asinine amount of money.  For an affordable, point to point, all-weather capable performance car, a wagon fits the bill.  A swapped wagon, even better.

I once picked up a bungee cord...that was awesome.  The hook on one end stuck into my tire, the hook on the other end whipped around and scratched the hell out of my rear quarter

haven't picked up anything recently, but just got new tire put on my moms car a couple months ago because she picked up what looked like a chunk from a plastic pail, big triangle shaped thing put almost a 2 inch slice in it

yeesh.  That tire is ruined.  I wouldn't have plugged it - it'll just tear along the gash.  Those plugs may not hold for long, (I'm assuming they shoved several in there), so keep an eye out.
