Powdercoating is generally more expensive however they should hold up longer compared to just painting them.

Thanks.. do you know how much it might be?

I got a quote from Powder-Tech at the Guptil's car show this month.

it was 10-15 bucks per wheel to media blast, then powdercoat started at 80 bucks per wheel (17x7.5") for matte and gloss colors, 120 per wheel for metallic and candy finishes.

Also, you better have a 2nd set of rims, you know, to get to work.

there was a place on here, if i remember correctly, that did them for like 220-250.  If you don't have an extra set you might be better off painting them yourself.  Just search diy painting wheels on nasioc

i'd think it'd be the other way around......it's gonna take you longer to sand down a set by hand then for them to blast the old finish off.  I'd want a second set if i were painting, so I could take my time with the prep work

look aound, you can find sets of junky wheels cheap that you can run around on for a little while then turn around and sell them again

Powdercoat them no contest. Wish i could do them for you but the shop situation is a total mess right now. Powder tech does great work but you will wait around a month from drop off to pick up. They have been known to tell you one price then raise that when you show up at there shop. If you going to spend the money coat em. Also welcome nice whip

if that's true, I would flip!  you mean when you come to pick them up after they're done? or are you meaning from talking to them ahead of time to the time you bring them in to be dropped off?
