droid x
« on: August 03, 2010, 05:45:39 PM »
hey verizon people and droid x owners, have you had or heard of any issues???
Ive been having some issues.  maybe 2.2 will help solve some issues, whenever the x gets that

1. Last night, I called my mother. got VM so went to hang up and kept pressing the red phone icon but it would not hang up. i had to turn off the phone.  happened once before

2.Also had issue with it sending blank text messages even though i would type out a message.

3.not sure if issue with headphone jack or cable but I'll plug it into my car for some lastfm or pandora and its sounds as if its distance.  like if you were to plug in headphones half way (if that makes sense) and it gets staticy, which in turns will activate voice commands from time to time.  im gonna order another aux cable to see if thats the issue, even though it worked fine with my psp

otherwise, i do love it

(edited to remove issues from title since thread going in different direction.)

Froyo was a nice upgrade on my Evo. It doubled speeds on benchmarking apps.

I would use Froyo, but I HATE the aftermarket clocks. Is there anything out there you know of that looks like the Stock one on the Evo?

Read through this thread for clocks similar to HTC's Sense UI clock: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=692124

Sounds like Beautiful Widgets might be the ticket. I like the stock Sense clock good enough.. teehee.. wipers clearing rain drops...

Froyo easily doubled my 802.11n speeds both up and down but my issue is now my upload drops off.
When it's working I get ~5Mbs up compared to my 10-18Mbs I've been getting for download with wifi.
I just noticed it recently so I'm still checking it out.

ONly a million droid threads now. haha.  So i'll pick this one to post it in.  What, if anything, are you guys using for a car mount.  Think I may have to DIY.   I want something that I wont have to remove my case to use. Besides just getting a universal window attachment, I had an idea to put in this location and see if I could put an aux connecter in radio area.  Currently, thats in the armrest area
oh, pix of idea

actually there is a Kensington Ipod mount that works perfectly with the EVO/Driod X

Its only like 23 bux shipped and its either vent clip or window suction.

I've just been laying mine on the passenger seat and glancing down constantly... setting myself up for accidents. I'll have to check into that mount too, thx for the tip.
