just my opinion, but i would have taken the emblem off, and put a new one on the outside of the mesh, but otherwise, looks pretty clean!

I plan on removing the Subaru "stars" logo underneath the upper section so it looks nice and clean.  I also plan to remove the "Grillcraft" logo in the bottom right of both grills.  Then it will look like butter!

I have the turbo kit and custom Magnaflow exhaust in my posession as we speak.  I'm arranging to have Robert Ansick, the owner of Forced Air Technologies, come down to New York and personally install the turbo kit and exhaust for me :)  At least this way I'll have piece of mind knowing it was installed by a professional, not to mention I could learn a lot from him.

you coulda asked me.
How much is that going to cost you?

I say this to EVERYONE with a 2.5 so I'm going to say it again,
Camshafts make our turbo kits scream. My stage I was outperforming stage IIs and IIIs at the track because of my cams. Think about it, only 500 bucks and part of a day to install. I have all the right tools (important)

Robert, the owner of Forced Air Tech, happens to be a friend of a friend.  He's willing to come down here and install the kit for me at the price he charges at his shop in Arizona.  For $500 he will install the kit for me.  Not a bad price if I must say so.

As far as cams go, how reliable has your car been after they were installed?  Where did you get them from and for how much?

damn, 500 to install? geez.  what happened to the good old days when you and some select buddies got a case of beer and set aside a day?

seriously though you could install it in half a day or less yourself or with a friend and then save that money to have it tuned.

it would take about 16 hours to install a complete turbo kit that was worth a damn.  FAT is one of those kits.

Cams like the COBB cams I have DON'T affect reliability. Then broaden the power and torque curves and really kick ass.  Cams are 500 bucks. If you don't have a set of stock cams laying around (who does) you get charged a 400 dollar core charge until you send them your stocks.  I have ONE cam and I know people that have some old heads laying around. SO you should be able to send them some stock cams and have them send you new cams and only pay 500 + shipping.

Cams take about 6-8 hours pending any install problems. It's pretty easy, just time consuming.

I had an intake, Borla Header, and stromung exhaust, underdrive pulley and a grounding kit when I installed my cams.  If I had known what the difference would have been and how easy it was, I would have DONE THE CAMS FIRST.  They are that awesome.

I should have mentioned that $500 is for the installation of the Stage 1 turbo, custom Magnaflow exhaust, and tuning.  The owner of Forced Air Tech is supposed to be one helluva good tuner.  A buddy of mine had a '99 Subaru Impreza L with the same Stage 1 turbo and he was running mid 13s on 91 octane.  Robert did the entire installation and tuning himself and it came out great.  For the 3 years my buddy had the car turboed he never had a single problem with it.  He's said nothing but good things about Forced Air Tech products and the helpfulness of it's owner Robert.  I realize that there's plenty of local people who could lend a hand with the installation and I could save myself the money, but this guy is the real deal.  He's a professional and I've heard nothing but good things about him.  He's an expert when it comes to Subarus.  I figure I'll shell out the money now to try and save myself the trouble in the future.

Sounds like you don't believe me about his times...
Honestly, I didn't believe his times were that good either.  Tons of guys in my car club can vouch for him about those times as well.  I never witnessed it myself, because I didn't even meet him until about a year after he sold that car.  To my knowledge all he had was the same Stage 1 kit I have, the same custom Magnaflow exhaust, and an upgraded clutch.
I'll have to get a timeslip from him.  Let me see what I can do.

that's not it.
What I was saying is that you can do that well by yourself too...
I was saying that I got better than mid 13's. I got LOW 13's with a bent cam in hawaii heat and a slipping clutch.  I was being a jerk... kinda.

I know he can get mid 13's.

What year is your RS?  It's SOHC right (I know some of the other RS's were DOHC).  How did the upgraded cam effect your gas mileage?  I was looking at the Cobb cams a year ago and they looked pretty nice.  I didn't like the idea of having to pay a core charge though.  Would you be willing to trade or sell me your stock cam?  Ouf of curiosity what sort of performance gains did you get from the cam before the turbo installation (i.e. 0-60 and/or 1/4 mile times)?

before turbo, WITH cams, headers etc I was running 15.0's at 80something MPH

Gas mileage only went down because my foot was in it more. I think it actually improved if I drove easy. I know that sounds hard to believe, but I went from 26 to 28MPG on long highway trips. However that could have been due to the exhaust and intake work also.

As far as the ONE stock cam I have, sure, you can have it for a low low price of...  well.. we'll figure that out.

Oh yeah, my RS is an 01 with SOHCs (which I like more for a list of reasons)
