long live the constant struggle to make any power from the 2.2 wagon i think without a turbo there not a lot you can do. I have tried the most obvious up grades and an catback/intake/computer can only do so much. But they look way more badass than the bug eyes.
Fear and respect the wagon!!

carbed or FI?
Eric

Quote me now while I'm feeling good about it.  I've decided a WRX will be the vehicle that replaces the Jeep.  I can't see paying Evo prices or justifying purchasing a halfassed/beat to death example for the same asinine amount of money.  For an affordable, point to point, all-weather capable performance car, a wagon fits the bill.  A swapped wagon, even better.

If FI = Forced Induction = Turbo, then no.

HAH... thats what I get for posting from work :-\

Anyway, if its carbed, people are putting bigger (mostly webber) carbs on them, having the intake and exhaust manifolds ported (which you could do even if it were FUEL injected), and having the heads ported.

Some of it is expensive, some isn't (if you're FI, its probably going to be expensive). What year 1.8 is it?
