you guys all do know about http://my.subaru.com right?
you can log in there, add your vehicle by VIN# and find out if the recall work has been done without Fred having to look it up for you

edit: nevermind, it doesn't show up in there since it wasn't a full fledged recall. My mistake  :uglystupid2:

Whatever consultant did that site for them did a shitty job with the business rules.
Legacy LSI came up as a Legacy L.
Baja Turbo came up as a Baja(nonturbo).
Wagonzilla came up as an L, correctly, LOL!

Subaru outsources their IT.  Stupid!

We can't do that at the dealer level, you would have to contact SOA directly with your invoice, and see if they can assist you.

ABS fix completed today. +1 to Fred for the fix, the free calendar, and the shop cat wandering all around the dealership.

My '04 does this, but Im guessing I don't qualify.
Eric

Quote me now while I'm feeling good about it.  I've decided a WRX will be the vehicle that replaces the Jeep.  I can't see paying Evo prices or justifying purchasing a halfassed/beat to death example for the same asinine amount of money.  For an affordable, point to point, all-weather capable performance car, a wagon fits the bill.  A swapped wagon, even better.

When I got my fuel rails warrentied I got the car back and it started throwing an evap CEL. It had been doing this before but I had fixed the issue (fuel pump gasket) and been CEL free for a few months. At the time of the work I was unemployed and couldn't afford the $100 the dealership was going to charge me if it wasn't directly related to their work. So now like 9 months later that I could afford it if its my fault I feel like an ass for not getting it checked out sooner. Maybe I'll check the ABS recall and get the fuel leak test done while its there. Hmmm.

Fred.. I need the fuel rail and probably the ABS fix done...  Don's quoted me for a couple hours labor for the fuel rail fix because of my FMIC piping............ well Chloe was born that day and it was pushed off.   PM me a price to do them both, and maybe we can find another time for you to make a few extra $$.

I think they replace the control module for the abs system.  I had them do it about a year or so ago and it worked like a charm.  Used to be that, if I braked while hitting bumps, the abs would fire sometimes and it would feel like I had no brakes for a split second (hence the "scary").  I think it's only happened once since.

We replace the Control module (abs ECU) that attached to the ABS pump under the hood.
