One of my favorite parts is the fact that it has HDMI out as well as HDMI in ports. Now I can use the screen to play xbox and ps3 while the GF is using the TV
The housing is a lightweight aluminum with a rubber coating.

I picked up an HP Envy 14 with Radiance screen a while back.

i5, 8GB DDR3, Intel 120GB SSD, Radeon HD 5650 1GB

By far the most beautiful screen I've ever used.

That's a mean mobile rig. I was looking at jobs that may cause me to travel so I was doing some research in desktop replacement laptops. I was look at the Falcon NortWest DRX: http://build.falcon-nw.com/?s=4. They put a desktop class i7 in that beast.

That Alienware is nice though, what's the actual model?

look into voodoo for gaming laptops. ive had an alienware, and they are not that impressive for the price. plus their tech support and costumer service is the worst ever.

I have a Spanky Built pc. Its about half done, Im waiting on my dual video cards, a bigger hdd, and more ram.

Antec 902 Gaming Case
Asus P67 Pro Mother Board
Intel i5 2nd Gen Sandy Bridge CPU 3.0ghz. Right now its Overclocked to 3.7ghz
Antec Liquid Cooling
Patriot Gaming 8gbs of ram. (waiting to buy another 8gbs)
Dual Windows 7 (32 bit and 64 bit)
A Power 860watt Power Supply
HP 23in HD Widescreen Monitor 1920-1080
Logitech 5.1 Surround Sound.

Patriot Gaming 8GBs of ram. (waiting to buy another 8GBs)
Dual Windows 7 (32 bit and 64 bit)

These two choices in bold make no sense together.

I was thinking the same thing, why dual boot 32 and 64 bit versions of the same OS, especially when you have more ram than one of them can actually use?

Then I realized its a gaming PC, and there are probably some games that do not like 64bit OS'.

I'm pretty sure with those parts, he isn't playing Wolfenstein. At a possible 16GB of ram, you are wasting about 12GB of ram by running 32-bit.

Cost of ram + cost of 32bit license = wasted money

Edit: Forgot to mention, I'd ditch the 8GB and 32bit license, sell those mechanical drives, buy SSD(s). It makes a world of difference by freeing up that bottleneck. I've converted every desktop and laptop in the house to SSD, the difference in performance is night and day.

I really never boot my 32 bit hdd. I run 32 bit for the older games that cant run on 64 bit. i tweaked windows to use the rest of the "wasted" ram for my hardware. Its very easy to do and should be done even on 64 bit.

Like I said before my specs, Im waiting on my new hdds, Videocards, and the extra ram. I needed to use that money for my car. the women has me on a budget. And I like to play the older rpgs and shooters. most wont play on 64 bit which is why i kept my 32 bit. i also have it as a backup, if get a virus on my 64 bit.

This is my 3rd alienware. The first two each lasted me 3 or 4 years. They both still work fine just needed upgraded machines. Funny thing is one of my main reasons for buying it was the customer service. I have had it break on me and I have broken them myself (multiple times). Each time they either fixed it for me or they helped me fix it. Only complaint was shipping time was over a week each time I had to send it back and forth but besides that I am actually really happy with the way they handled ALL of my claims. This was also before they sold to Dell. I am expecting similar maybe even better service now.

i didnt have a problem with the actual laptop. i bought it right before windows vista came out and was promised windows vista on the release date. it took over 3 months of me fighting with them to get the disc. and that was only because i got a lawyer involved. there were a couple other times i had to fight with them to get shit fixed. i bought a alienware flashdrive and it never worked. that took a fight for them to send me a new one. and i had my dvd burner break. which took over a month for them to put a new one in and send me it back. which is a matter of one screw holding it in. i wont buy from them again. plus they want a lot more then the rig is actually worth. needless to say i sold the thing and got a voodoo and never had a problem with that or their service. but like you said they sold out to dell. so im not sure how they are now.
