not to say anything about Dom either good or bad....but did you really mean to say target boost levels? Or are you talking peak boost that you're actually hitting?  No matter who tuned it, if I were seeing boost of 20 sometimes and 10 other times I would be thinking it was more of a hardware issue than a software issue (for lack of a better term).  Target boost levels in the tune shouldn't change and then change back.

and, though it's pretty much a dead horse at this point.....you're conveniently overlooking everything than anyone made a point out of.
If you're bringing up Dom's tuning ability then I assume you're talking about the comment about them talking shit about him in a video?  I didn't see that one, don't know exactly what was said...but in any case, anyone with a half way professional attitude knows you don't badmouth competition in public.
As for the "road tuning" video: Sure, drive the piss out of the car for tuning purposes...but don't race with someone elses car before you're even done with the tune, and don't do it in traffic at 160mph.  If you have a car that really needs to pull to 160 strictly for tuning purposes, then you've put enough money into it that you should be able to afford to pay for a couple runs at a track and tune it during that.  If you can't do that, then you take it to a less busy stretch of road...simple common sense

haha wow this thread makes me laugh. i guess ill start with im sure dom is a good guy and whatever props to him for making a name for himeself. me personally i had a dom tune and ill leave it as im set with a 13.0:1 air fuel raito and a target boost of sometimes 20-10 really hit or miss kinda stuff.

Kyle that car was road tuned 3 YEARS AGO!  Since then you are the 3rd(?) owner(-John, maddog, you?).  It's been converted to RWD and back, and countless other installs/swap/mods being done to it.   A tune is only as good as the parts that were on it at the time the tune was done.  You change anything, neglect maintenance or some old parts fails/malfunctions...forget it.

End rant, sorry but Dom bashing gets me fired up.

Kavik, I saw the video.  They were mostly questioning/making fun of why/how he does tunes for $100, then someone spoke up and said they were 200. Dom talked to John on Nasioc and the phone after he saw the video and they are cool. So anymore Dom Vs. John is interweb dorks trying to start shit.

I've said it before and I'll say it again the shop is located in the city..theres not roads like there are around here. Does it make it ok for them to do 160mph on it no, but they are adults and make their own choices.

Since you're always on the forum and that's how you get your knowledge of cars instead of first hand experience you should have read somewhere that cars perform differently on a track than they do on the street. The same goes for a dyno. Why do you think tuners always take the car off the dyno and go make a few tweaks in the tune on the street. Also I'm sure you could see somewhere on youtube that people always have to turn up their boost controllers at the strip because the car doesn't load up the same as it does from a roll.

I'm still confused at where I get thrown into the mix for bashing on Dom. I haven't said a bad word about him I actually stick up for the guy quite a bit. Most people would talk shit after their car blows up while tuning it, did I? No. Because it had nothing to do with him it was an assembly error. The only disagreement I've had with Dom was a few years ago and we straightened it out through each other.

so you drive the car 15 minutes and leave the city, it's not that hard
and being on the forum all the time just means I have a job where I sit at a computer all day, whooptie-dooo  .....you wanna read more into it than that, fine, be my guest.....but here's a thought:  'a track' doesn't have to mean a drag strip.  I've read about these nifty courses that are more than just a straight, flat quarter mile strip

And I'm really not sure why you keep taking everything like it's an insult to you personally.  Your name wasn't mentioned once since this thread was resurrected. The only person who keeps 'throwing you into the mix' is you  :?

Anyway, whatever, I really don't care any more.....my opinions have been made and shared.....and apparently I'm the biggest douche on the site, so it doesn't matter anyway  :2funny:

Word of advice:  Drop the personal jabs/attacks it is unprofessional and unbecoming of a "vendor".  Otherwise, you are doing a good job dealing with all the crap.

This thread

I am not on a vendor account, this is my personal account not a shop account. I'm just getting sick of all the bullshit, and call people out when they call others out.

Pretty close, you do nothing but call people out for stupid shit all the time. My advice to you is to stop being an internet tough guy (I actually heard that quoted in regards to you last night) and stop calling people out in 90% of the threads you post in. Its a forum, there is going to be many different types of people. Some might not be all up on their grammar that doesn't make them bad people it just makes you look like a douche for taking the time to call them out.
Myself and quite a few others don't even frequent this site like we used to because of you and a few others. However we still go to a lot of the meets and hang out with the people we have grown to become friends with over the years. There are a lot of good guys on this forum that know their shit and most of them don't even post anymore because the forum has turned to a bunch of useless bullshit pissing matches.

If you really think the two are separate, then you don't have a clear understanding of how personal perceptions (or is it perceptions of personnel?) effect business images.  If you want to be a little more convincing on that though, you could try removing the vendor associating links from your 'personal' signature.

:-D wow, I never knew I was such the topic of behind peoples backs conversations until just recently.  Anyway, 99% of the time if I nit-pick it's in good humor, and I think most people realize that because most that I do it do the same.......there's been 2 threads I can think of where I've seriously 'called anyone out' recently, and in both case I wasn't the only one, and I think it was deserved (and I would be genuinely surprised if both aren't related to what's apparently discussed about me in private  ).
So, either it's a forum and everyone (including me) gets to voice an opinion, or it's not....which is it? You gotta take the good with the bad opinions and criticisms if you want to give them.

Tell ya what man, I'll make you a deal....don't quote me back into this discussion and I'll gladly drop it
In return, what say you let people have an opinion about your 'bros' without taking it as a personal insult?
Combine those two things and half this drama BS would disappear and we can all play nice again  8-)

The closest target practice range is like 20 minutes away from my house so I usually just go fire my guns in the street.  I figure that, should I happen to kill a mother and kids out for a Sunday walk, their father will rest easy in knowing that I am an adult and that I make my own choices.

Kill yourself if you want, no argument from me.  However, the day someone out on a road tune crashes into my family will begin a difficult time for said person.  I am not tough, and these are not e-muscles, but I would spend every penny I had to make sure this guy spends a long time being some dude's jizz dumpster in prison.
