My tailights are smoked with vinyl. It makes seeing in reverse difficult, but having 20% tint on the hatch window isn't helping either :crazy2: . I plan on getting rid of it and going with red vinyl because its hard to see in reverse at night.

Don't tint the tails black.  Just put the red overlays on.

Why Red overlays? I actually like the "smoke" look against the SWP, I don't want to introduce red into the equation since its not there.

Well I plan on cutting out the reverse lights so can see in reverse, and it would look goofy with the smoke. So red looks like it should be factory and I will see

Nite shades spray on tint. Cover the reverse lense with tape so they wont get painted. If you are not good with a rattle can (like myself) find someone that is. 2 coats of nite shades and 2 coats of clear coat will make them darker but not black. I can find a meticulous write up on saab92x.com about the process. They look dark but light up pretty bright when you hit the brakes

There you go Daryl, done.

For some reason I couldn't get the damn right screw off so I just ripped the plate bracket off and chiseled away the rest with the screw driver. Got as much as I could from under the screw.

Oh, successfully moved the STi badge too, wiped, washed and alcohol prepped the area where it was going onto and it held fine so far, re-heated it when I re-applied it to the new location so it would stick on.

The AWD is coming off too once I get my AWD sticker I ordered. And let me tell you, that STi symbol is 3 pieces and a bitch to replace in pieces and make it look like factory.

Yeah bro, badge relocation is something I'm really NOT looking foward to again any time soon. Thankfully all I have to do is take off the AWD and I'm done with all that shit. The only other thing I have to do is put my Rally pig on my side marker without him getting all crinkled and thats it.
