1995 Impreza
« on: April 04, 2011, 11:23:39 PM »
I just bought IRelyea0014's Impreza and I was wondering if the back seat out of a 95 Legacy fit into a 1995 Impreza coupe?
What would be the best first steps to take with this car? It has a JDM EJ25d and a few other things I listed in my signature. If I can get this car to run almost perfect, I am planning on a 2.5 RS front end swap with a OBS hood (but thats more of a summer project).

1995 Subaru Brighton Rs (sold)
2002 Hyundai Accent (sold)
1999 Chevy Cavalier (sold to my brother)
1998 Subaru Legacy wagon (traded to Blackparis)
1997 Subaru Legacy (Parted out and crushed)
1999 Honda Civic (Wrecked)
Quote me now while I'm feeling good about it.  I've decided a WRX will be the vehicle that replaces the Jeep.  I can't see paying Evo prices or justifying purchasing a halfassed/beat to death example for the same asinine amount of money.  For an affordable, point to point, all-weather capable performance car, a wagon fits the bill.  A swapped wagon, even better.

Suspension?
Upgrade Sways
AGX's with P1 springs

Not sure about the seat.

Other than that I would say pick up some RS 5 or 6 spoke wheels, throw some sticky tires on them and enjoy.

Personally I would go the sleeper route and maybe spend the money on Delta Cams instead of a hood and bumper.

And www.rs25.com is your new best friend

Alright thanks. I was thinking about doing this eventually too. I need it to run a little smoother first though. Right now it is a sleeper look, I just need to get rid of the exhaust on it and it would be. The hood and the fenders are the only thing that really needs to be replaced body wise.  When I had my legacy, legacyGT.com was my best friend  :-P

For exhaust I had a stromung, it had the perfect sound and was low key looking.

The exhaust on there now is a little to loud for my tastes but I have to keep it until I get some money saved up again

Let me know what you need. I may be able to save you some $$$$. I.e. body parts (color matched), and any other stock part. Plus I have some aftermarket bits you may like.

What do people suggest for a short throw shifter for my car? I'm not to picky on how short of a throw it is, just less then it is now, and I want to keep the shifter height around stock (willing to give on that but I don't want something ridiculously short)

And does anyone have an idea about the Legacy seat? I need a new back seat and really don't want to spend the time testing if I don't have too.
