Back to the OP:  For the street, probably one of the best set-and-forget choices would be Konis with a set of very mild lowering springs.  Something like JDM Sti springs or Eibach ProKits.  You don't need a ridiculously high spring rate and you don't need to drop the car more than an inch.  Realistically, a set of linear springs matched to the damping rate of the Konis would be ideal.  I don't remember any of the rates anymore, but I do remember how awful it was trying to adjust spring perches on Centola's WRX after one winter.  Worst part was, the car spent the season in a garage and didn't even see salt.  Coilovers are NOT an all-season part.  The old Tein SS units did fairly well after a winter on a friend's eclipse, but otherwise I wouldn't recommend it.  Save them for a track-rat subie that sees only summer weather

He needs to be careful.  Might get stuck on that piece of loose gravel.  Yes, the pebble.

AirMan, your car looks good, actually.

Yes, and everywhere else for that matter. I have to sweet the garage out 2 times a day and mop it, especially doing tint in there.

In my opinion, never cheap out on suspension bits. Stay away from K-Sport for sure. My R34 had GReddy Type-S... Rode like crap. My R33 had Tein Flexs... Rode like crap. My 911 has Bilstein PSS10s... Rides like a dream. Bilstein makes a great quality damper. If you decide on coilovers, I'd go in this order from cheapest to most expensive: KW V2-V3, Bilstein PSS9-PSS19, Ohlins DFV, JRZ RS& RS Pro, Moton single adjustable-double adjustable-club sport.

then comes the issue  STANCE vs Handling

and seeing ive had my coilovers for over a year being real low to as high as they go, being low low definitely effects handling

idc what anyone says being that low makes your car handle like a boat and messes with dynamic camber, alot of people get the misconception that being low = better handling

to low the suspension geometry is all whacked out and when cornering, your dynamic camber will change and you will lose negative camber

ask redroof the macpherson suspension does not like to be lowered

Id like to get a ride in a car with koni yellow/GC setup

when you wanna go for a ride?   They way to counter that dynamic camber is a anti lift kit for lowered cars.. its a MUST have if you are lowered ...  I absolutely love my suspension set up...  I toat around my three year old and 1 year old and wife....    my daughter screams WEEEEE... Marty chuckles and the wife now knows how to hold on for up comming bumps.. HAHAHHA  tell ya honestly if you get the right set up / Spring weights for your rides overall weight and do then dampening right...  Its a awesome ride...

If I can afford it, when I go to the 5x114 hubs I'd like to get the KW's.  We'll see.  I'm sick of my JDM super stiff coil overs...

Had the Tein flex on my 05 STi..   easy access for adjustments and great quality coilovers.
Price isn't too bad either if you're already looking at spending over a grand on Megan ones or one of the other brands that are about a grand anyway.

I'm not sure if they have been mentioned but BC coilovers are suppose to be a good bang for the buck as well.
