it's not so bad if you keep an eye on the totaled car part outs on nasioc.  I think I paid like $100 for the one I bought

yea, Byron tried to read the ROM and look over the car for me on friday, thanks for that!

i went to capital land and the only thing they could tell me was where THEY got the car from, but i have the original window sticker in the car and it tells you where the car was shipped from Subaru.  i called that dealer in CT. and asked if they had the contact information for the original owner but, due to privacy laws they can not give that info out. no surprise. after the holiday ill call them back and ask if they do have the information can THEY cantact him and ask him to give me a call and hopefully he hasnt had a change of information in the past since he bought the car.

last I heard it's cheaper to buy a used ecu than to have Cobb unlock one....but that's just what I heard

Gotta put my legacy back on the road so i can drop off the car, they said they will look it over and likely do a compression/leak down test.  Fred and the salesman that sold me the car, George i guess are going to push for warranty so hopefully everything goes well and they will just throw a short block in and send me on my way.  Fred says they will most likely pulled the pistons and mic the block. if the block checks out they will just throw in some pistons.  Im wondering if i give them a set of good aftermarket pistons they will put those in instead of those damn stock ones.

got it back from capital land yesterday, they want to do an oil consumption test and want to see it back in 1000mi. to see how much oil is being burnt. im prolly gonna drop it off sometime next week before the 1k miles 2 quarts low on oil and maybe that will give them a hint that theres something wrong. the last 1000 miles it burnt a little over a quart and that was taking it easy keeping the boost needle down in the - range. ill drive it like theres nothing wrong and bring it back :|
