A moderator.. Can has Subaru?
« on: June 16, 2011, 08:51:58 PM »

My dirty ass civic out behind it.

Goofy face?  :2funny:

06 with 61k IDK if it was 4eat or 5eat.

My fiancee and I bought it together, since the civic cant go anywhere in the snow. we had to shovel it out 4 times, and once there was only 3inches.

Been about 350 days without owning a subaru! ahaha

Congrats Tom!  It's got the 4eat.

I rapped it up to 85ish. didnt count the shifts. lol been a LONG while since I drove an auto subaru. but the turbz is GREAT!.

No mod plans.. Maybe just a Domtune, only if it would help MPGs? If not then NO.

Car Obviously has never been beat, no ticks. not a single scratch or ding ;) AND I LOVE the HuMongo moonroof.

O yeah and taking delivery on saturday.

Yea, the fatass baja got a nice fuel economy improvement from just the tune.  I was averaging 27 on the highway after the tune, 23-24 before.

Looks sweet! The 4eats are no joke. There's been a few fast ones lurking around lately. Jimmy had one at the shop that had an HTA green on it. With the auto tranny it was legit. Also theres a guy on nasioc that had a big turbo on the stock 4eat and ran 11s. Then put a 35r on it and hasn't ran it yet.

Damn Zeke that's good driving. Bet you couldn't do that in your Subaru; well, there'd be a lot more tire squeal.   :-)

Shes the one that wanted to panda my last legacy.  I Might have influenced her.  But she decided yes or no ;)

But no hand paintjobs, for a while (paid off), shes staying stock, maybe a set of rims since I am a rim whore.

No .. No track events.. Possible an auto-x or 2. depends on how they are timed with my paychecks, and car payments ;) But maybe i'll just AX the civic...

i forgot how cool the panda legacy was.
Eric

Quote me now while I'm feeling good about it.  I've decided a WRX will be the vehicle that replaces the Jeep.  I can't see paying Evo prices or justifying purchasing a halfassed/beat to death example for the same asinine amount of money.  For an affordable, point to point, all-weather capable performance car, a wagon fits the bill.  A swapped wagon, even better.

But no hand paintjobs

Good news. :-P Get some bitching wheels and it'll be set

Justin — so much more squeal actually there, the whine and wind noise is covering it up. Tires are only audible in the video when they're actually close to / being overcooked.

I tried to buy this today.  As usual, I left with nothing because we could not work out an agreeable price. 25k miles, manual, and had a Cobb catback on it. Wasted 2 hours of my day.

$24k.  And because they wanted me to trade my WRX in on it, they were offering a good amount for my trade.  Only issue is:  When they make you a good offer on your trade, they don't want to work on the price of the new vehicle for you.  Each and every time I try to buy at a dealer, I get more and more jaded.

yeah, you've almost got to put your foot down to just working out a price for the vehicle before even talking about a trade in...try to keep the two things as separate as possible for as long as you can

sometimes i wonder how well it would work to go in and haggle over a car you don't want, get a good trade in quote and a bad price on a car, ask them to write out the numbers for you so you can think it over and walk away with no intentions of buying.........then come back later, work on the price of the car you want with a different sales guy and when you come to a price you like for the car then be like "sounds good, and you guys offered me this much for my trade in last week, you'll honor that quote, right?"

Yep.  Suspension work to bring it back down to Earth, and boom, I'd be done.  It was really nice, I'm just too cheap.  Sucks.  I'm they'll be calling me for the next couple weeks, trying to get me back in.
