What sould i get for the winter?
new potenza's? or real winter tires?

I went with the cheapest winter tires i could find i think after all was said and done i paid $80 a tire at sears they are the winter handler's they can be used with or without studs so you people that ice race these would be good as well. and i am on my second winter with them and let me tell you they handled amazingly! i highly recomend them the only thing about them that i don't like is the speed rating i think its pretty low i don't remember what they are but i think its 75 mph.

I used cheap ones from a tire place here on my Honda last year, worked ok. This year I'm going with Nokians "All-Weather" winter tire. I'll let you know how they are.

Just for future reference, if it wasn't already clear...

Potenza R070 + .5" of snow = no stoppy stoppy.

I've got Dunlop DS-1's on my Mirage, they rock! and they're cheap. Driving on the winter roads around here with a performance tire is suicide.
