SUBIE MEET IN TOGA (spac area) BBQ AND BYOB.
« on: July 25, 2011, 09:37:17 PM »
Okay so looking to do this on the 12th of August how ever if this is still short notice it can be changed. Looking to get as many people to this as possible. This will be my first time organizing something like this so anybodys help would be much appreciated. Im trying to find out if they have grills there or if were have to bring our own. Also need to find out what the rules are on alcohol. To make this a good showing im opening this to all imports and or domestics possibly pending on what youre guy's imput is. So give me plenty of feed back. Thanx!

By spac area do you mean Saratoga National Park? The picnic area there is a good spot for a meet, but it does cost $7 to get a vehicle in. There are bbq's, picnic tables and restrooms available. Not sure yet if I'd be able to make this but would be interested.

Yes, he's talking about the Park.  It's $7 per car, unless we go when there is not a SPAC event going on, then you can use the huge SPAC parking lot to park in, and walk to the Park area.  It's very close.

Yes, they have grills, pavilions, picnic tables, etc.

I am pretty sure you have to reserve the Covered Pavilions in SPAC, I would look into that.

Rite now im thinking around 12noon that way there would be plenty of time to cook and check out the cars and what not. Seven dollers shouldnt be a problem to get in. Ill see if I can find a website to do some research on wether or not reservations need to be made. If that is true Id need a decent amount of people dedicated to this even to make it worth it. I went there once for a concert and dont remember anyone saying they had to reserve anything. I will start making a list of those saying they will attend just message me and ill add you to the list. Thanx.

Unless it's raining you don't really need a pavilion. There are plenty of picnic tables with grills that you can use without paying anything. I also know of a place where we can park and walk down so you don't have to pay to get our cars in, I live close by and go there all the time, no need to pay anything.

Sounds good 08dubyarex! Im gunna try to do a little recon of a good spot there so I know exactly where its taken place that day. Maybe this weekend we could meet up and find a spot. The other meet for this weekend is still on just need to settle on a spot to meet real quick. It could also serve as a good time to plan the BBQ better. You guys can text me if you have any questions also my name is Rob.
