Are all the events at McCarty Ave?
For now, yes. Except Devens, of course.

Unfortunately it is all we have this year. If anyone knows a good lot and knows the owner

BIG CHANGES FOR MOHUD CLASSING… SCCA has officially ended the Street-R classes for stock vehicles on R compound tires. Any competitors wishing to compete in a stock vehicle on R comps will be bumped to the appropriate Street Prepared class for their car. MoHud is also introducing the “Pro” PAX class. This class is intended for long-time MoHud competitors and is meant to allow the top competitors to directly compete against each other, while leaving normal classes (Street/Street Prepared/Street Mod/Street Touring/Prepared) for casual competitors and those competitors who are no longer eligible for Novice PAX class.
-
Bout time on the r comps. Made no sense to have them in stock class.

That pro class sounds cool. Considering my mazda will still be essentially stock for the first 3 events, i'm not sure i'm going to make the jump. Unless they make me, which I'd also have no problem with.

I think us die hards would be in pro pax class because we try to make all events.
Taken from oregonscca:
Open PAX – The purpose of the class is to give competitors in classes with low
attendance an opportunity to combine with other classes to compete in a larger class. The
class is open to all competitors. Results are based on the PAX/RTP index published by
Rick Ruth. Cars are classed by the competitor based on the SCCA national classes (i.e.
SS, DS, STR, CSP, SM, etc.). The class runs during the “Modified” half of the event.
Year-end trophies are awarded for the class.
Pro PAX – The purpose of the class is to provide the highest level of regional
competition. The class is open to all competitors, but is intended for advanced level
autocrossers to compete against each other. Cars are classed by the competitor based on
the SCCA national classes (i.e. SS, DS, STR, CSP, SM, etc.). The class is open to all
competitors and results are based on PAX/RTP index published by Rick Ruth. The class
runs during the “Stock” half of the event. Year-end trophies are awarded for the class.

Ok, so my class would be FSP Pro (or something like that) and not just "pro". Works for me.
Lyndon is going to butcher me anyways!

Eh, you never know - your 2 could do really well in FSP, sir! Honestly though, unless you are really all for the competition; I'd say run the regular/non-pro class for as long as you can! If someone thinks you should get bumped, they'll let you know.

Maybe those of us that have been doing it for a while but aren't any good can get a "Hack" Class? The 2 can be made into a very good FSP car. Andy Hollis' National Champ STF setup plus an LSD and more wheel/tire would probably do really well. Pro actually sounds pretty fun. While I don't think I will blow the bank on making the car competitive, an LSD would also make it better in the snow at least.

I'd campaign for this class! Where else would my mishmashes fit in?

I just hope my tires make a difference this year. Those shitty shoes killed me last year.
When there's trouble-u call D W! :crazy2:

Don't know why I assumed this meant the Sunday event as well but after speaking with Eric I found out the event is still on. See you there!!
-
Gettin' the Mazda ready this week. Oil change, rear shock upgrade, and 4-point harness. PSYCHED!
-
I'll actually be at this one! Debating which car to use...
EDIT: Actually, I may not have good tires for the RS (sidewalls cut up a little). I have new ones to go on, but I won't have time to get them on before Sunday. I don't THINK the existing tires would pass tech, but maybe I'm wrong. I guess I can use the snows... But I may perform a few 4-wheel slides.

Ben and I will make an appearance this weekend. prolly Saturday althought unsure

Yo! Saturday was cancelled - but Sunday is still on, sir.
-
Lame. I didnt see that atachtment PitCrew posted bc I didn't log in
Eh, I will prolly be there on Sunday. Was looking to socilaize, not drive, which is easier at a TnT versus a points event but oh wel
-
I don't think ill be making it, plans in Keene, NH...unless I'm back saturday night.
-
It was a solid event with a decent turnout. Course was a bit confusing...if you overcooked 1 corner, visually picking up the path you were supposed to take was tough. Had a lot of fun and it was good to see everyone out there, especially The Councellor. The mazda performed well once I got a clean run. And at stock ride height, I could adjust the rear shock damping without even jacking the car up. :2funny: Can't wait to get the Corksport springs and the front struts on.
Chomping at the bit for the next event. Rumors are that there will also be a test&tune the saturday before the sunday points event. Stay tuned for more information.
-
I just realized that my TC was on for the whole day...
-
Why does a 2 even have TC?
-
Results are UP!! Check em on the first post.

Why does a 2 even have TC?
Federal Law on all 2008+ passenger vehicles.

How much $ is test and tune Saturday?

Just have to say this whole weekend was a blast :-)

Absolute best picture ever of any of my cars.
-
I had a lot of fun, despite the absolute drenching. My 3rd Hydrocross run looked absolutely heroic...too bad the course dried out.
-
You know, I know I didn't have the stiffest suspension, but....

Also Dave, 27.778 vs. 27.745! I mean sure you beat me with PAX... But I feel like this: :-P

I'm kinda mad i went right of the cone i was suppose to go left of....hit 26.611 and never got down there again! :-(

Your car looked (and sounded) awesome out there. The tires really look like they helped . Aye, ya did wiggle past me. Looks like we'll have a close rivalry this year

I'm annoyed the one run I took out the last pointer cones on, I got a 27.5 and I know I could have had that time clean...
Your 2 is too damn fast for a 100HP bubble! If you weren't in SP you'd probably be right up at the top.

If I switched to 7.5" wheels, I'd Pax pretty damn well in STF. The only problem with STF is that Jon's too good and has a perfectly prepped car :coolsmiley:
-
Possibly giving away my lack of understanding, isn't he in STS?
-

Oh yea, he is running STS. STC got dissolved. I don't know why he's not in STF though. Either way, it's a big expenditure for new wheels, one I can't hack right now. :-P
-
Well it turns out you're safe anyway. I don't know how this kept slipping through the cracks, but I can't be in street prepared. SP specifically disallows adding forced induction, like say a whopping supercharger on your 251... So I guess I'm technically in SM.

I have SM magnets I'll just give you if you want em. No numbers, just the "SM".
-
I guess whenever I make it to the next event...
-
Another soggy one, but fun. I managed to remember my gopro, but didn't record run1, and run3 was corrupted. Since I left early I only got one filmed run. The course flowed well, my engine mount mod stopped me from missing shifts too.
-
There's another autocross sunday, sorta snuck up on me. I haven't even put the hatch carpet or floormats back in the car from last time.
-
Hah, I've gotta figure out why my heap was running like crap at the second to last autocross still. It's still sitting since then...

I blew a head gasket the day after ;-) haha...
Idk if I'm going.. I will if I could codrive a car... But I don't think the supra is ready for another yet.., and I have to miss August... Working that weekend.
-
Well apparently, if you just let it sit long enough, it's fine. Started it up last night, drove around, 'cleaned it out', and all good. Ready to go; yay!
