« Last post by FastfreddyRs on November 03, 2019, 09:14:10 PM »
I was lucky enough to grab some pretty rare Cusco suspension parts from Subaru rally team at the open house. Iím selling off the parts I couldnít use on my vehicles.  Tons of really nice parts for most newer Subaruís.  See Craigslist link for all the details.

Naturally Aspired Engines / Re: Chasing P0028 code

That did it, no code since the swap on Friday.  I got scared before I got to the 12.5 foot pounds the book claims it needed.  I used white permatex for oil senders on it, no leaks so I think I'm good.  I think I'm going to do the other sender while the weather is good.

Just wanted to say Thanks to OP...

4 years after this post I was able to find it when my son's Legacy needed head gasket work.  I too went to the guy in Catskill.  He was good.  Fixed the head gaskets and timing belt for right around $1400.

DGP Enterprize is still on 9W in Catskill.

Thanks again!!

All the time.  Replace the pressure sensors first. I stock a few of them at the shop, just donít over tighten them

Naturally Aspired Engines / Chasing P0028 code

I'm trying to troubleshoot a p0028 on my legacy.  The service manual pretty much sends you after the wiring harness then the solenoid for the variable valve lift.  Doing a bit of reading online, it looks like some have had issue with the oil pressure sensors on each head. A quick check on mine seems to point at the one throwing the code being a problem.
Has anyone else fixed either the P0026 or P0028 with the oil pressure sensors ?

I finally replaced my stock fogs with Hella 500 FF and they outlasted the stocks. I also have the film protector & rock covers on. I always use them along with the headlights and have zero issues.
