That pro class sounds cool. Considering my mazda will still be essentially stock for the first 3 events, i'm not sure i'm going to make the jump. Unless they make me, which I'd also have no problem with.
I think us die hards would be in pro pax class because we try to make all events.
Taken from oregonscca:
Open PAX – The purpose of the class is to give competitors in classes with low
attendance an opportunity to combine with other classes to compete in a larger class. The
class is open to all competitors. Results are based on the PAX/RTP index published by
Rick Ruth. Cars are classed by the competitor based on the SCCA national classes (i.e.
SS, DS, STR, CSP, SM, etc.). The class runs during the “Modified” half of the event.
Year-end trophies are awarded for the class.
Pro PAX – The purpose of the class is to provide the highest level of regional
competition. The class is open to all competitors, but is intended for advanced level
autocrossers to compete against each other. Cars are classed by the competitor based on
the SCCA national classes (i.e. SS, DS, STR, CSP, SM, etc.). The class is open to all
competitors and results are based on PAX/RTP index published by Rick Ruth. The class
runs during the “Stock” half of the event. Year-end trophies are awarded for the class.
