Legacy GT Interior Lighting
« on: March 16, 2014, 06:06:21 PM »
I want to do a LED conversion of my interior lighting.  Does anyone have any kits or suppliers they suggest?

On a related note, I noticed the other day that the coin tray (ashtray) light is staying on even when the ashtray door is closed.  To get at the bulb do I need to take the whole dash apart?  Shouldn't there be a switch or trigger that turns the bulb off when the ashtray door is shut?

www.diodedynamics.com is nice.  I switched out a bunch of my stuff using their products.  I believe they have a 1 year warranty on their items as well.  Everything I have from them performs flawlessly and looks fantastic.

I've got a set that I bought of someone on Nasioc a few years ago. I think they were like $25 a set.  Bought 3 sets, used two.  You're welcome to the unused set for $10 if you want them

There's 2 for the map lights, one panel for the dome light, 2 bulbs for the rear plate.  I don't know if that covers everything you'd need?  There's definitely not one for the ash tray
they're ridiculously bright, I actually could do with a little less light in the center dome LOL But I've had no problems with them after a few years use

anyway, PM me if you're interested

I've been looking at diode dynamics, actually just placed an order.  Wanted to make sure they were decent.  Thanks for the help.

Any ideas about the ashtray light?

Shit, I wish I had known you were gonna order from there.  I have some coupon codes from them around here somewhere...

No worries, I appreciate it.  They came yesterday and I got them installed. They look good so far, but I need to see them in the dark to get a sense of how bright they really are.

What stages did you go with?

I got the second option for most of the bulbs, I think this corresponds to stage 2 lights.  The vanity bulbs don't fit the stock socket...weird
