Fun with bad endlinks

So shortly after I bought the Legacy, I upped the rear sway to a Whiteline 20 mm sway (or so) and left the stock endlinks to die on that. Fast forward 4 years of wimpy driving on my part, and I'm listening to what I forgot.  I was blaming struts, bushings, everything but the end links.  I finally got under the car and got out the bad endlink after I remembered leaving the stockers in there.  For the tiny bit of play, I can't believe how loud that sounded in the car.  I got a pair of heavy duty ones from NAPA with grease fittings.  I got the new one in as the sun went under today.  The other side is getting penetrating oil until I can get back at it.  It may get the saw, it seems pretty stuck and it's a lousy spot to reach.

I still can't believe that little bit of play made so much noise.

I've done a few endlinks at this point.  I've had to saw off 80% of them.  Hacksaw did the job but took hours.  Switched to a dremel and quick-change heavy duty cutting wheels  .

It's what makes a Subaru, a Subaru.

I do like the fiber re-inforced cut off wheels on the dremel, they cut OK and the setup is small and light.

Got any suggestions for keeping crap out of my eyes ?  I'm forever fogging up goggles and end up blind anyway.

Stretch as far away as  possible... look away, close your eyes, hope for the best! Mechanics do this all time on customers cars

Not as protective as goggles, but if all you're worried about is rust and crap falling, it's more protective then just turning your head and squinting

I wear a bandanna like this,  but don't let it hang as low and not as tight to the chin.  When you breathe the hot air goes down away from your glasses.  I have fucked up sinuses and wear glasses.  so I am big on this or a mask whenever I cut/sand/grind/anything with a lot of dust.

Also,  My MR2 endlniks had very little play in them,  but they sounded atrocious.

Someone needs to take that ^^ and merge it with this..  To protect your your head of course.

I think I have a face shield I'd forgotten about.  It certainly should be more airy than goggles.

Are the plates installed on the correct side?

I installed a set of MM plates just over a week ago and have my camber set at .5 deg negative with a lot of adjustment to go.  Debating on bumping it to 1 deg negative.
