Rear brake banshee squeal

Hey everyone, i used to be an active member; some of you may remember me. Ive been living in watervliet but i moved to CO a few years ago so i havent posted in a while bacause i had sold my subie prior to my move. I recently got a 13’ sti limited. The car is in fantastic shape but the rear brakes squeal. I figured it was an issue of cheap pads and rotors so i ordered a brand new set of brembo slotted&drilled rotors and pads. The brakes were perfect for 2 days then the squeal came back. I pulled the pads and put stop squeal on then and for two days no noise but then it came back. I spoke with a friend who is a mechanic and he said pull off the shims and lube the shit out of ever metal to metal contact point (except the pad to rotor surface). Again the noise was gon......... for 2 days!!! Its back again and worse than ever.  Im lost as to where to go next amd was hoping one of my old unysoc crew might have some suggestion.  Dave, Byron, anyone im at the end of my roap with this squealing.

Dot the pads fit tightly in the carrier ?  I've had to do some grinding on Hawk pads to get them to move right.  I've also started using permatex for lube instead of anti-seize.  Last, have you checked that the backing plate for the e-brakes hasn't rusted some and may tag the rotor ?  I've been battling that very recently on my Legacy.

Well I finally got the squeal to stop!  I put the stop squeal paste on the back plate of the bands. I let that dry. Then I put the shims back on and coated them with the same paste and let that dry as well.  Then I got a bottle of graphite bearing high temp brake grease and coated every metal point on the calipers and the metal edges on the pads. I put the pads back into the calipers, then coated the pins in the brake grease and put them in with the cotter pins and then put grease on the pins where it rubbed of from being slid through the holes on the pads.  In my unprofessional opinion I used more grease than should be necessary but the squeal stopped and the car stops fine so I’m calling it a win!
